Welcome to my smithy, Five Points Blacksmith Shop.

 

Lorelei is a contemporary blacksmith artist.
Working with my 150# Beaudry Mechanical Hammer

 

Lorelei employs modern equipment and traditional blacksmithing techniques of forging, punching, drifting, riveting, collaring, chiseling, forge welding, and mortise and tenon joinery to create custom, one of a kind ironwork.

I have hosted several workshops and field trips here at Five Points. I also offer classes in beginning blacksmithing. Please contact me if you are interested in classes.
   

 

Demonstrating is very enjoyable because it allows for a greater appreciation of the craft. When spectators are able to watch a piece of metal being transformed they can feel the heat, hear the pounding, and experience the magic.

 Lorelei has demonstrated at blacksmithing conferences throughout North America, including ABANA, the California Blacksmithing Association, the Ontario Blacksmithing Association, the Four State Iron Munchers, and the Minnesota Guild of Metalsmiths.
   

 

Lorelei is known for her botanical ironwork and she specializes in functional ironwork for the home and garden. Her commissions include public art projects, sculpture, railings, gates, furniture, and accessories.
Believe it or not, this is actually an organized space.
It's scary how much I have accumulated in thirteen years of business.
