I HEART THE JUNKYARD!!!!!
One man's junk is this woman's pleasure....

Before blacksmithing, my sculptures centered around
found objects usually found in my home away from home -
the world's greatest junkyard. When time allows and the pieces
present themselves, I still make junkyard sculptures.

Fire Place Screen

My client found this cast iron furnace door and asked
me to create a fire place screen. In addition to adding
the screen, I forged the legs and handles.

Rusty was created in 1995 in a collaborative effort
with fellow smith David Flynn.

Rusty is constructed of forged steel and barbed
wire spheres; he weighs 350 pounds.

While on display for Christmas viewing in 1995
he was abducted on the evening of December 7th.

Rusty's kidnapping made the front page of the
local newspaper.

There were several sightings of the snowman for
the next several days, but he had yet to materialize.

On December 11th we received an anonymous
phone call; Rusty had been spotted in an alley.
He was recovered and brought home.
